For the second consecutive month, a Chicago Bear was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month.
Cornerback Charles Tillman took home the honor following a highlight reel month. Tillman had two interceptions that he returned for touchdowns and shut down Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson on Monday Night Football to the tune of three receptions for 34 yards.
Tillman and the Bears' defense held opposing quarterbacks to an NFL-low 61.9 passer rating for the month. The Bears' defense is second in the NFL in fewest points allowed (14.3) and takeaways (23) and leads in rushing yards per game (77.9).
