The Bears night is off to a rough start and it may not get any easier with news that rookie left end Shea McClellin will miss the remainder of the game with a concussion.
It's not clear when McClellin suffered the concussion but he wandered off the field early on in the first quarter and was being evaluated by Bears trainers on the sideline. WBBM-AM was the first to report the McClellin may not return to the game, and that unfortunate report turned out to be true
It's not as though the Bears defense is going to crumble without McClellin, as he's still viewed as a piece of the future and despite mildly producing this year, hasn't been an impact player that would warrant amss panic at him missing the rest of this game. That being said, it's always nice to have as many weapons as you can on defense to stop a team like the Texans, but from Peanut Tillman to Tim Jennings and Julius Peppers up front, the Bears will be fine.
McClellin, on the other hand, will not be. At least not tonight.
